Patience is a virtue, but it’s not one we readily brandish. The same showrunner who kept details to a minimum and facts to a scarcity through most of 2017 and 2018 is poisd and ready to do the same thing to use through the whole of 2019, and we have to (and will, let’s be honest) just accept that fact, and twiddle our proverbial thumbs.
We are not, however, going to just put this glorious fandom on hold. Despite what you may think, there’s far too much to do before Series 12 arrives in the (super-futuristic) 2020!
Facing at least a calendar year without new televised Doctor Who, we look to the many other ways we and all Whovians can “get our Gallifreyan fix” in most entertaining ways. From conventions, to comics, novels to audio dramas, classic (re)watches to live stage performances; if you play your trivia cards right, you may find your days as a Doctor Who fanatic too busy to notice the time slip by!
