We all have that one friend. You know the one: the one you don’t let your other friends know you have; the one you only spend time with when no one is there to see. Some of us live in fear of (and some have already realized the horror of) the day when those two separate parts of our lives collide. Now, imagine your one friend is an alien whose idea of a compliment is telling you how relatively short your lifespan is, so you need not worry about your ‘unfortunate’ appearance.
This week, we discuss Episode 5 “The Caretaker”, and the wonderful character-driven story that arrived right on time. The Doctor and Mr. Danny “P.E.” Pink finally come face-to-face, and Clara is left trying to make the two men in her life find some way of coexisting. And all the while, a heavily armed killer robot threatens to eliminate the planet. Feels just like a Monday, right?
