Whovians are no strangers to odd pairings of characters or having seemingly random things previously mentioned in passing become major plot points. The Paternoster Gang are no exception. Dropped in to an already massive cast of characters in “A Good Man Goes to War”, they could easily have been one off characters. But Moffat worked his magic and brought them back time and time again, giving them larger and larger roles.
Now this trio have become an easily recognizable part of the show and fans have begged to get a spin-off. This week we take a look at the characters and mechanics of the Paternoster Gang and their continuing role in the Doctor Who universe.
